Tirumala, October 16 : On the seventh day of Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams the Lord Malayappas ride atop the Surya Prabha Vahanam was an enthralling experience to all the devotees.
The Lords ride along the mada streets on a vehicle adorned by Surya, the sun god,,the key architect of life of humans animals and plants has a significant message to his devotees that he was the creator of everything on this universe .
IMPORTANCE
According to Puranic texts Surya, the Sun God always rode on a chariot driven by seven horses.. He spreads light and health in the world and also removes darkness, which symbolizes poverty, illiteracy and ignorance..Saint-poet Tallapaka Annamacharyat praises Venkatewswara as no other than the Sun God in the midst of the Sun’s Sphere.
Lord Venkateswara blesses the devotees by showering on them health and wealth and allowing them to witness him on the Tirumala Surya Prabha Vahanam announcing that he it is the one who as the sun God, lights the world
. As the chief deity among Navagrahas, Lord Surya rode a chariot driven by seven horses, representing the colors of the rainbow and the seven chakras in the human body Surya known for his vision of Virata Purusha, he is worshipped as Suryanarayana Murthy .
